For Sale: 1970 Pontiac LeMans in Knoxville, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This car is the result of a 2-1/2 year ground up Concours restoration of a 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible.  The restoration was started in June of 2012 and finished in September of 2015 and no expense was spared.   The owner has put only a little over 500 miles on the car since the restoration was completed.  There is not one piece of this beautiful convertible that has not been replaced, restored, or rebuilt.  You will see from the photos that the underside of this vehicle is every bit as beautiful as the top side.  Following is a comprehensive list of things done during the restoration.

The vehicle was taken completely apart and the body, chassis, etc stripped to bare metal.  The chassis had any repairs that were necessary completed and was then sent out for corrosion coating and black powder coat.  Any damaged sheet metal was either repaired or replaced.  All new suspension was installed including coil springs, shocks, sway bars, spring seats, etc.  SSBC 4 wheel disc brakes were installed along with new master cylinder and brake lines.  The car also has all new power steering linkage, pump, etc.  Take a look at the engine compartment.  It is as beautiful as the car itself.  The original 400 c.i. V8 motor was completely disassembled and rebuilt using new crank, rods, pistons, cam, polished intake, valves, rockers, push rods, springs, chrome valve covers, coil, MSD EFI System (Electronic Fuel Injection),  new radiator with dual electric fans, etc.  Engine block was painted to match the car color.  An MSD EFI monitor is installed to monitor and control fuel/air ratio, distributor advance, etc.  A complete new 3" dual exhaust system including a mild set of headers was installed so the motor could breathe better and also for an incredible sound.  The exhaust note is not loud by any means, just enough of a low rumble to make you smile.  The 3 speed automatic transmission and rear end were also completely disassembled and rebuilt.  The gas tank and all fuel lines are also new.  A new wiring harness was installed throughout the vehicle.  A new chrome alternator and new air conditioning compressor and evaporator as well as beautiful new polished belt brackets have been added.   The bumpers and trim on this vehicle were either re-chromed, re-polished or replaced.  Both driver and passenger front seats have power adjustments installed for comfort.  The new audio system has great sound all the modern conveniences including Bluetooth and Sirrus.  The convertible top frame was removed, powder coated and reinstalled with new motor, wiring, and new white top with a glass rear window.  The convertible boot is also new.  The car has all new original looking interior including seats, dash, carpet, visors, steering wheel, seat belts, and matching floor mats that have "Lemans" embroidered.  Under the carpet, sound deadener was installed to keep the cockpit as quiet as possible.  The trunk of the car looks like it did when it rolled out of the showroom.  All new weather stripping was installed throughout the car so doors, trunk, windows all seal flawlessly.  New Pontiac Rally II wheels, trim rings, center caps and BF Goodrich red line tires were installed.  P225/60R16 all around including a brand new red line tire and Rally wheel in the trunk.  The Cardinal Red paint which was an original 1970 Lemans color, was applied flawlessly to all body panels, door jambs, rocker panels, trunk lid, etc. resulting in spectacular overall appearance.  Modesta Nano Ceramic coating (the best paint protection available) was applied and looks absolutely gorgeous.
