This Dart GT convertible has been my warm weather daily driver since I bought it in June, 2014. An upcoming relocation forces me to sell the car. We have had good times on the several road trips taken, the longest drive being a tour of the entire length of Route 66 from Minneapolis to Chicago (the eastern end of Route 66) to Santa Monica Bay, CA.(the western end) and back to Minneapolis in October, 2015. That's 6,600 miles of travel in 4 weeks with no breakdowns or issues. The Rocky Mountains in Colorado were challenging, but the rest of the trip was the best road trip ever, and attests to the roadworthiness of the car.
This car is not a numbers matching car. It comes equipped with a 318 cid 2 bbl V8, 4-speed transmission, Hedman Headers, and dual exhaust. The brakes are standard manual drum brakes in good shape. The tires are a matched set of Cooper Trendsetter Radials, size P205/75R14, mounted on Rally I wheels. All lights and Summit gauges function properly except a non-functioning fuel gauge. The radio is a working AM radio.The car starts and runs well.
I have replaced the following parts with new or OER (when available) parts since June, 2014. Receipts are available on request. Battery, alternator, voltage regulator, engine harness, radiator, water pump, heater core,160 degree thermostat, radiator cap, belts, hoses (and complete antifreeze flush). The 2 bbl carburetor was rebuilt in August, 2014. The car received a complete tune up just prior to, and immediately after the Route 66 trip. The front end was aligned with no issues in May, 2015. There are new shocks on all four corners, a new oil pump, power steering gear and pump, an entirely new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and flywheel, horn, windshield wiper motor (used part) and washer, 5 new lap belts, door and ignition lockset, and a used, full size spare tire and jack in the trunk. A 12 volt charging port was added to charge a cell phone, portable GPS , etc.
The chrome, glass, and paint is in fair condition. The convertible top, motor, rear window, and matching boot are in good working condition.
