As a classic car judge I would like to make clear, so there are no ifs, ans or buts, the condition of my 1970 GTO 455 HO convertible. Restored in 2004 to national level top flite condition, only 2500 miles since showtime where we are proud to state a 3rd place honorable mention. This vehicle has been trailered to all shows, events and rallys where the few miles that are on it were put on during these venues. When the car came home it was placed on a lift, the underneath cleaned, exterior washed, trickle charger placed on the battery and a quick once over with chrome cleaner so the tips sparkle.
today the car still resembles those top days however will lose points for wrong belts, battery, tires. 8 track not working and steering wheel needing to be sanded and redone.
There is a door ding on driver door, one on the trunk, and on the door down low where the fender and door meet there is a rust bubble starting to emerge, the paint hasn't broken, the size is less than an eraser. I would like to call it a #2 car as the motor and underneath are fabulous, and its way nicer than a driver #3 car so a 2.5 would be perfect so the collector and enthusiast, dealer and end user babyboomer knows exactly what they are getting.
Overall performance is a 10, the car is tight smooth and powerful.
Documentation , PHS , receipts, original pics from the day the car came home, memorabilia articles is the best I have ever seen.
