The K5 Blazer, was introduced by Chevrolet in 1969. It was designed
and marketed to compete with International Harvester's Scout and
Ford's Bronco. The edge the Blazer had above its rivals was to
simply offer a shorted pickup truck, which both increased interior
space, and lowered cost of production with a shared platform. The
success of the Blazer prompted GMC, to offer its own version of the
truck, The Jimmy. The Blazers and Jimmy's ruled the newly created
SUV market for two decades and today remain a favorite choice of
vintage 4X4 enthusiasts all over North America.
The Beautiful, Restored, 1977 K5 Blazer offered here has had a
Rough Country 5" suspension lift installed and the truck has a very
good stance. It also received a new exhaust system. It is powered
by a healthy 350 V8 that was painted up and looks like new. It has
an automatic, column shift transmission assisting it through the
gears. Other features include a tilt steering wheel, gauge package,
new interior, new paint and new chrome, premium AM/FM cassette
sound system, new 20" Fuel chrome wheels, 305/55/20 Amp Terrain
Gripper tires, air conditioning, jack, power brakes and power
steering, new heat blanket under the hood, AM/FM cassette player,
power rear window, new exhaust, and a removable hard top. It is
obvious that this truck was garage kept and well loved. The paint
job is two tone consisting of white and tan and presents very well.
The interior is tan as well. The chassis and underside of the truck
are painted black.
