Dodge Challenger in 1970 with Chrysler producing 76,935 of the new
E-Body vehicle. What you see before you, however, is not your
everyday Challenger! No, this is quite a special car in that it
wears not one, but two distinct badges! This totally restored Mopar
is an R/T SE! (Road and Track/ Special Edition). Pop open the hood
and feast your eyes on one of the cleanest engine bays you'll see!
This R/T boasts a 440 big-block V8 engine equipped with a
four-barrel carb, an 18-spline Hemi four-speed manual transmission
with stock iron casing and a Dana 60 rear! Exhaust is forced
through the factory manifolds with Dynomax � Super Turbo mufflers
and X-crossover! Once you're done drooling over the engine, take
the whole car in and admire the lines on this beauty thanks to
Dodge designers led by Bill Brownlie. The bright Hemi Orange paint
is as loud as the sweet 440 and is paired beautifully with a black
vinyl top and matching black interior. In respect to the Special
Edition emblems, this vehicle's vinyl top and small rear window are
of significance as they were unique to this SE package. Take a seat
in the comfortable black leather bucket seats and place your hand
on the pistol grip shifter, only on a Mopar! This entire interior,
with the exception of the original back seat, headliner, steering
wheel and dash, was completely restored using high quality parts
from ECS Automotive Concepts. The rallye instrument panel still
relays the performance information you need to drive this gorgeous
vehicle! In all honesty, this car is pretty rare in that there were
only 142 R/T SE Challengers ever produced with a 440 and 4-speed;
most SE cars came with automatic transmissions! Today, there are
only about 50 Dodge Challengers known to exist with the options
this car has... talk about special! You need to see this Dodge in
person to truly appreciate it in its entirety. Words can't describe
