For Sale: 1967 Dodge Charger 426 HEMI Resto Mod in Online, No state
The Dodge boys created the Charger in 1966 by grafting a sleek
fastback roofline onto their mid-sized B-body Coronet. Hideaway
headlights complemented the sporty shape up front, and the image
was enhanced further inside by four bucket seats separated by a
full-length center console. The two rear buckets folded down to
maximize storage space beneath the original Charger's sloping roof.
A 318-cid V-8, backed up by a three-speed manual transmission, was
standard under the hood. Chrysler's Torqueflite automatic was
optional, as were three V-8s: Dodge's 265-horse 361, 325-horse 383
four-barrel, and a 425-horse 426 Hemi. Behind these three engines
went either a four-speed stick or the tough Torqueflite. Optional
engines were shuffled in 1967 as the 361 V-8 was traded in for a
two-barrel 383 and Dodge's new 375-horse 440 Magnum joined the
awesome Hemi at the top of the heap. Only 660 440-equipped Chargers
were built in 1967. The Hemi count was a mere 117 in 1967, 468 in
1966.< /br>< /br>View this vehicle here:
