For sale in our Houston Showroom is a gorgeous 1969 Pontiac
Firebird. The 1969 model year saw a lot of changes for the
Firebird, as it received a major facelift. It received a new front
end design, but unlike the GTO, it did not receive the Endura
bumper. Additionally, the instrument panel and steering wheel were
revised, mainly due to the introduction of GM's new locking
ignition switch on the steering column. This Firebird is truly
something special, however. Equipped with a 400 CID V8 Ram Air III
engine and a 700R4 automatic transmission, it has more than enough
power to get up and go, as the Ram Air III engines were rated at
335 horsepower in 1969; and the 700R4 transmission allows for
smooth, speedy, and seamless gear changes with ease. Even though
it's nearly 50 years old, you would never know it when sitting
behind the wheel of this beast. The cabin of the vehicle is
welcoming and feels like that of a much newer vehicle, while still
having a retro feel. It also has power brakes with upgraded SSBC
calipers and rotors up front, as well as power steering, radial
tires, and rally wheels that all work in perfect unison with the
beautiful white vinyl interior and eye-catching orange metallic
paint job. The exterior shows very well and has a metallic flake in
the paint. The interior is very nice and free from any tears or
discoloration. The car sits on some 17-inch chrome Foose wheels
wrapped in low profile tires that look good. The hood features a
tach built in and it works great! A very cool feature you just
don't see anymore. This car is rust free so come get yourself a
sweet ride that you won't see many other places like this! This
vehicle is located in our Houston showroom. You can view this 1969
Pontiac Firebird in greater detail, including HD pictures and HD
video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you
