1968 Buick Custom Convertible

This is a rare vehicle to start, with only about 8,000 ever manufactured and far less still on the road today. We have taken this one to a new level with added design and complete overhaul by our mechanics and body shop. The car is a perfect cruiser and ready just in time to hit the streets with the top down to enjoy the sun. It has just undergone a complete overhaul.

The car is powered by the very desirable 350ci V-8 engine that has been refurbished with less that 1,000 miles since completion. It is the original motor to the car complete with the 2 barrel Rochester carburetor helping pull 230 horsepower while enjoying decent full economy. The power flows to the ground through the original 2-speed automatic transmission and rear-end. The car stops great through the original power assisted big drums but we will add front discs at our wholesale rate if so desired. The entire car has gone through a frame-up restoration including undercoating the frame and undercarriage. Pictures were taken to document the build showing that everything was cleaned and repaired where needed prior to doing so. The end result is a super clean undercarriage to go with the rest of the car. The majority of the trim was removed for a cleaner look and all of the holes were properly leaded in prior to skim coating, sanding and priming. Once ready, we put on a fantastic show-quality black finish. It pops great against the perfect chrome and custom 18 inch Boss wheels with stainless rings. The car has been lowered giving it just the right stance while also improving the handling on the 245/40ZR/18 rear and 235/40ZR/28 front high-performance Sunny radial tires.

The interior has also been refurbished with new carpeting, re-conditioned seats and excellent trim/dash. Some of the original patina on the metal on the dash is left in place because it really looks great the way it is. Should you want it back to the original look, we can do that without much effort. It has the original AM radio but we can install a hidden sound system of your choice, including Bluetooth, if so desired. The power convertible top is in great condition and goes up and down with ease.
