Up for sale we have a 1955 Chevrolet Nomad. This '55 has the resto
mod look with the big wheels and lowered stance. Also, it comes
with great options to go along with the killer look. In the
paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the
exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would
like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Nomad. With unique
styling, these Two Door Wagons belong in a class their own. The
iconic body lines are paired with timeless chrome and stainless
that's sure to turn heads. The one we have for you is done in the
two-tone India Ivory and Harvest Gold. It's been polished out to a
deep rich shine and it looks great in the jams and under the hood
too. Down the sides the panels are straight with a great fit. At
the time of the resto new bumpers were installed. What trim
couldn't be polished to a like new finish was also replaced. The
glass was replaced with tinted glass, and new seals, weather
stripping, and door seals were also installed. To finish off the
look it's sitting on a set of Raceline Wheels with 18's up front
and 20's in the rear.
Next, we will look at the interior of the '55. On the inside,
you'll see the seats are covered in the Gray and Ivory vinyl with
matching door panels that house the Power Window Controls. As you
sit down you'll notice the column has been upgraded to a Chrome
Tilt Column with a custom wheel. The dash is painted black and the
instruments have been updated. Also, a custom sound system has been
installed. The Vintage Air controls are in the factory location and
the vents were added under the dash. The headliner is done in ivory
as well and all the interior chrome and stainless is in great
condition.
Finally, we will look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the
hood, it looks amazing. The firewall is painted body color and all
the chrome and stainless is gorgeous. For power, it has the 327
Engine. It's mated to the 350 Turbo Trans the Stock Style Posi Rear
End. It's set up with an Aluminum Intake and an Edelbrock Carb. The
327 is dressed with Aluminum valve covers and breather. The belts
have been upgraded to the serpentine system with a polished A/C
compressed and a chrome alternator. To keep it cool it has the
Aluminum Radiator and Electric fan. To go along with the A/C it
also has Power Steering and Four Wheel Power Disc Brakes with
drilled and slotted rotors. For exhaust, it has manifolds with dual
pipes and Flow Master Mufflers. When you look under this '55 the
floors all appear solid along with the frame. Also, you can see
that coil overs have been installed under the front.
