Vehicle Description
This is a 1958 Chevrolet Apache Truck. This is the first year the
truck has four headlights instead of the previous two and features
a shorter, wider grille running the width of the front end. Parking
lights are now in the grille instead of being in the front of the
fender and the hood is similar to 1955/1956 models, but with a flat
"valley" in the middle. This Apache has PPG Russo Red paint with
PPG white trim around the windows. The body was blasted down to the
bare metal and painted with epoxy primer prior to the basecoat
being applied. It is just stunning with a fresh restoration leaving
it in excellent show room condition and only 50 miles on it since
the restoration using a lot of the original or new correct parts.
This pickup cruises nicely powered by a 327 V8, a 2bbl carburetor.
The engine has a mild comp cam with magnum roller tip rockers.
Almost everything inside is new including pistons, piston rods, rod
bearings, oil pump and all the wiring. The 3-speed manual column
transmission is new and correct for the year along with the new
clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. The fuel system is all new
including fuel pump, fuel lines and new tank. All glass is new
except for the rear window which is original and is in excellent
condition. The paint, glass, chrome, interior, and trim is all
sorted through meticulously and shows incredibly well. The body
work stands up to scrutiny, which means that the work was done at
the highest standards while paying attention to all the details.
There is not a speck of rust anywhere. The bed is finished with
handsome oak wood planks that has 10 coats of clear urethane. The
exhaust is new and the brakes are drums all around with new brake
lines and master cylinder. The tires are new Coker tires to give
the truck that classic look. The interior is amazing and in perfect
condition with new seats, new gauges, carpet, door panels and
