Vehicle Description
Stk. 2244 1984 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade
The Jeep CJ-7 was introduced in 1976 and 379,000 were produced over
12 years. That said, there are few unmolested CJ-7s to be had
today. This 1984 Jeep is an unscathed example of an icon. CJ series
Jeeps ruled the off-road in the '70's and '80's - there was nothing
that could match their prowess in the backcountry. Our CJ-7 is in
overall good condition with a very straight, solid body, repainted
Ice Blue with accent decals in 2012. There are some isolated areas
that show very minor rust. The grey vinyl seat-covers, dashpad and
canvas top/doors are all in good condition. Features include:
AM/FM/Cassette, chrome side-bar steps, front 'Bull Bar', rear
swing-out spare and a solid trailer hitch. The Jeep is powered by
the indestructible 258ci (4.2L) straight six with Carter 2-barrel
carburetor that produces 115bhp and 210 ft/lb of grunt at only
1,800 RPM. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic mated to a
2-speed Dana 300 transfer case and manual front hubs. Differential
gearing would have been 3.73:1 for this drivetrain configuration.
The front/rear leaf spring suspension is stock with optional power
steering and factory 15" steel sport wheels mounting Cooper
street/sport tires. Front disc/rear drum brakes are power-assist.
This CJ-7 is ready for the new owner who will appreciate the great
looks and muscle of this classic Jeep. Call 800-650-1055 or visit
