For sale in our Chicago showroom is a show quality 1969 Ford
Mustang Mach 1. This red over black beauty has had a complete
restoration and oh boy does it show. After the Mustang debuted on
April 17, 1964 it was a huge success and became an automotive icon.
The front and rear fascia received minor changes after 1966 and by
1969 Mustang was producing some of the most eye-appealing vehicles
ever and this is one. In the fall of 1968 Mustang debuted the Mach
1 which featured a mouthy grill, twin set headlamps and beautiful
lines that turned this "Pony" car into more of a muscle car of the
time. The interior did not disappoint and featured attractive,
knitted vinyl sports bucket seats, molded door panels, center
console and twin pod instrumentation panel. The interior of this
fine example has received the same high level of meticulous
restoration as the rest of the car and looks like the day it rolled
off the showroom floor. Under the matte black striped hood, you
will see a period correct 390 cubic inch V8 that starts easy and
lets you know this Mustang means business. Though originally
equipped with a Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission the owner of
this beauty opted for a 4-speed manual replacement at the time of
restoration that allows you to precisely time your shifts and get
this showpiece up to speed without hesitation. This car is not only
a pleasure to look at and admire but is a thrill to take down the
open road. Since restoration and complete rebuild of the engine
this car has been tested and tuned but only driven approximately 20
miles to local shows and is ready to breathe new life into any
mundane lifestyle. The Cranberry Red paint was refreshed and in
lieu of the original red upholstery this one was finished with a
beautifully contrasting black interior for a very desirable color
scheme. If that sound of a Ford 390 gets your blood pumping and you
desire a completed car with all work done to a high level this Pony
belongs in your garage. This 1969 Mustang Mach 1 can be seen in our
Chicago showroom. To see an HD video and more HD pictures, please
