Vehicle Description
Mopar built a prototype Trailstorm that did not go into production,
presumably from the high cost and excessive build time. This build
started with a special-ordered half-door JKU Sport with V6 engine,
automatic transmission and 3.73 axle ratio, as well as Trac-lock
differential. It's equipped with power steering, power brakes and
air conditioning. Interior features include tilt, cruise, backup
camera, metal half-doors, slush mats,
NAV/Sirius/Bluetooth/AM/FM/CD/MP3 with voice connect and nine
Alpine speakers with all-weather subwoofer. The goal was to get as
close to the prototype as possible. The wheels used on the original
build were a one-off custom set and are not available, so the next
best thing was used: 17" Black Mountain JK specific matte-black
alloys with BFGoodrich MT tires. Exterior features include
digital-sand camo wrap, Mopar heavy-duty cast tire carrier, Mopar
JK brush guard, Mopar Hard Rock front bumper with alloy fairlead,
Mopar Hard Rock rear bumper and Mopar high-top fenders. It's also
equipped with Mopar 2" suspension lift with Fox shocks, AEV ProCal
Black Mountain Euro-guard set, Black Mountain heat-reduction hood,
Black Mountain 8,000-lb winch with synthetic rope, Black Mountain
A-pillar switch pod, Black Mountain 3x3" LED lights, Black Mountain
grab-handle set, Black Mountain fuel door, Bestop Trektop NX
fastback soft-top, Drake Off-road hood latches, Evolution J series
LED headlights with half halo. 36 original miles. CARFAX shows an
open recall for front impact sensor wires.
