You're looking at, arguably, one of the most extraordinary
Chevrolets ever to go into production. These 1959 Impala
convertibles are known for their collectability and prestige. This
gorgeous example is fresh from a high dollar nut-and-bolt frame-off
restoration.
From the "flawless" Tuxedo Black finish highlighted by gleaming
chrome and stainless trim, matching black Haartz cloth power
convertible top, to the stunning red tri-color cloth and vinyl
upholstery, the owner conveys that "you won't find one nicer."
Loaded with many desirable options seldom seen on this model, these
features include: power steering, power brakes, factory air
conditioning, power windows, E-Z Eye tinted glass, rare power seat,
dual sideview mirrors, AM radio with rear speaker and clock.
This lounge-comfortable Impala convertible is equipped with the
rare Super Turbo Thrust 348-cid, 280-hp V-8 engine with the 3- x
2-bbl carburetor setup, plus dual exhaust with chrome tips,
Powerglide automatic transmission and Posi-traction rear
differential. Plenty of dealer installed accessories were available
to dress up your Impala in 1959. Among those installed on this
striking auto includes; front bumpers guards, rear fender skirts
with polished stoneshields, dual rear antennas, chrome exhaust
ports, rocker moldings, door handle scuffshields, tissue dispenser,
floormats and Continental kit. A desirable icon from the fifties
that the owner feels will only increase in value. It is written in
a late 70s convertible book that of the nearly 70,000 thought to
be produced, less than 2,000 were known to survive at that time.
