In the rich history of Porsches heritage, Porsche has only produced
911 Carrera Speedsters four times. The 1st being the 1953 Porsche
356 Speedster, 2nd was 1988 based on the 3.2 Carrera Cabriolet, 3rd
1993/4 with the 3.6L 964 Carrera Cabriolet and most recently in
2011 where Porsche elevated the legendary 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
Always respecting their heritage Porsche produced worldwide 356,
997 based Speedsters, with 100 bound for the USA. But this isnt
just a cabriolet with a short windshield. This Speedster is based
on the uprated GTS wide body chassis, 3.8L naturally aspirated flat
6 cylinder engine with 408hp @ 7300 rpms. The windshield is 2.4
inches shorter which provides a unique but distinct Porsche
silhouette outline. Mated to the 3.8L engine is Porsches PDK
transmission for flawless shifting and most performance options as
standard equipment, including PCCB, PASM Porsche Active Suspension
