This is a 1953 GMC 1/2 ton short bed pick up with the wrap around cab windows, also known as a 5 window cab deluxe. Restoration was started 25 years ago when I started sand blasting the frame. The truck has been parked in the garage and moved occasionally over the years but rarely brought out. I would say it's about 90 % complete. My goal was to keep it as original as possible with some modern up grades . Some of the featured upgrade include a 12 volt conversion, a tilt column, power steering , dull exhaust w/ glass packs, new wiring, a wider 7 in. base wheel, white wall tires, reupholstered bench seat. The motor was rebuilt about 6 to 7 years ago which has some good run time but hardly broken in. The truck runs a 235ci out of a 61 Chevy with an adaptor kit for 350 automatic transmission. The suspension was kept original however the rear end was changed out for a late 60's truck with a better gear ratio. Included are the stainless bed rails that need the holes punched out. Regretfully it's time to sell as I really hate to see it go, but ready for someone else to enjoy and put the finishing touches. Overall it's a very solid beautifully looking truck that draws attention and turns heads but will need some attention. I'm asking $18,500 as you won't find another deal like this again. I would say don't hesitate and let this opportunity pass you up.
