Just arrived, a car is the 1950's Ford model on the top of everyone's list.
The Crown Victoria's styling of the period is like no other, always known
by the stainless roof band and cool back windows. The chrome band
continues inside the car across the headliner...
According to the National Crown Victoria Association, this 1955 Crown Victoria
was originally ordered and built as the showroom model of a Los Angeles
Ford dealer and is one of only three known to exist with its extensive list
of options. In 1999, it received a complete nut and bolt frame-off
restoration and has accumulated about 7,200 miles since.
It has also won a Grand National First Place Award from the AACA.
The Crown Victoria is finished in the factory correct two-tone Coral Mist
and black with a matching interior and black carpeting. It is heavily
optioned with the original, factory correct radio, which was converted to
an FM receiver, and rear seat speaker with fader control. In addition, the
car features a rear deck antenna, rear window defrost, under dash map light,
stainless steel dual exhaust, correct and functional clock, rocker moldings,
door handle nail guards, fender skirts, tinted glass, back-up lights,
windshield washers, wire basket wheel covers, wide whitewall tires,
and Ford Special oil bath cleaner. It is also equipped with power windows
, power seats, Ford Swift Sure power brakes, Ford Master Guide power
steering, a Ford continental kit, and Ford Select Aire Conditioning
– a very rare option for a 1955 automobile.
The bottom of this car is painted, not undercoat...
as nice s the top of the car.
