1963 saw several tweaks for the Cadillac lineup. Styling wise subtle, yet noticeable changes were made like shortening the roof line on the coupe by seven inches, giving the trunk a longer, sleeker look. Panels were flatter and lines more crisp and the rear tailfins were the smallest since initially offered. The biggest change was the redesign of the engine offering, all cars now came equipped a 390 cubic inch V8 producing 325 horsepower. This was Cadillac’s first major engine change since it introduced the 331 in 1949. The combination of changes proved to be an overwhelming success for the brand, setting new sales and production records for the second straight year
This 1963 Cadillac features a freshly rebuilt 390cid V8 and automatic transmission. It still wears its original paint aged to a vintage patina finish that can’t be recreated in a paint shop. The interior is original as well, all seat covers, carpet and door panels are the same that came from the factory. The car is equipped with a full 4-corner adjustable air-ride system, allowing the driver to tailor the ride height at the push of a button. This Cadillac is mechanically sorted and ready to cruise in vintage style
