Well, if you like the '80s style Mustangs, and want one as close to brand new as you can get, here it is! Not only is this all original GT convertible exceptional, it has a pretty interesting back-story. The original owner actually won it in a Mac Tools distributor contest, and promised it to his then-ten year old daughter. Fast forward 30 years and it came time for his daughter to take possession of the GT. She's had it about a year now, and although she loves the car, it just doesn't fit into her family's lifestyle. Reluctantly, she has decided to part with it so someone else can fully appreciate how special this car is. The man that won this car, obviously didn't use it much, but meticulously maintained it throughout his 30 years of ownership.
He really went above and beyond. Aside from changing the oil, he put new tires on the car, a new fuel tank, and fuel pump, new front struts, serviced the brakes, etc, etc, etc. He is obviously a car guy as he kept all of the original paperwork for the car, the owners manual, warranty booklets, window sticker and the Mac Tools magazine showing him receiving the car, and explaining the contest. All functions and accessories on this Mustang work properly. All the lights, the gauges, the power top, the heater and AC system. It's basically a new 1986 Mustang GT convertible. The black hood treatment still looks new, the interior is as clean and new as it can be. The convertible top with its glass rear window is as new. The original paint is as nice as it was during the Miami Vice days. This Mustang drives like is did when it was new and it should considering those few miles. Absolutely ready to enjoy just in time for Spring!
