GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1965 Ford Galaxie 500
Hardtop Coupe for purchase. Ford Motor Company used names for cars
that would spark interest during in the big space race. With names
like Comet, Meteor, Falcon, Thunderbird, the name "Galaxie" was a
perfect fit for the full size car. The Galaxie was produced from
1959 to 1974. The 1965 Galaxie was an all-new design, featuring
vertically stacked dual headlights. The cars were taller and
bulkier than the previous year's leaving many collectors today
opining that these years are the true "muscle car" versions of the
model line.
This '65 Galaxie 500 shows well in blue with a white top and custom
black leather interior. It is powered by a 352 V8 mated to an
automatic floor shift transmission. The interior has been
customized and has 2 bucket seats in the front and 2 bucket seats
in the rear. The front 2 seats are power adjustable. There are LED
lights that light up when you hit the brakes or apply the turn
signals located in the backside of the headrests of the back seats.
There is a CD player that has a 5" by 7" screen equipped with
Bluetooth, DVD, AM/FM and GPS. The Galaxie sits on 15 inch Eagle
Alloy "cragar" style wheels wearing BFG Goodrich tires. This car
has front and rear power disc brakes with drilled rotors. Other
upgrades include an aluminum radiator, new power steering pump, new
alternator, newer water pump, new battery, rear Bose speakers, dual
exhaust, LED headlights, nice chrome bumpers and surrounding trim
and more.
