Mostly Restored OEM 1965 Lincoln Continental! 430 V8, Suicide Doors, Custom Pearl Light Sky Blue, OEM AM/FM Radio, Refinished Jack & Spare Tire. Very Clean, Mechanically Sound & It Runs Good, As It Should! This rare elegant beauty, which would surely be cherished by many classic collectors alike is fairy priced reflecting it's true value.
As a way to circle in on its worth, here is a breakdown of the basic restoration's cost to date.
Top-End Rebuild (Machined Heads, Cleaned Valves, Cam Shaft/Lifter's Replaced) ($3,000+) Carberator Rebuild, Brake System Conversion Upgrade($3,000), Professional Bodywork & Complete Custom Paint Job ($8,000), 6 Power Window Motors Rebuilt ($1,500), New Carpet Trunk Liner Kit ($800), Original Barn Stored Vehicle Value Before Restoration $4,000~ Totaling Approximatley $20,000
As follows are a few details that would bring it's restoration just that much closer to completion. The front seats could use re-upholstering, the headliner could be restored, the exterior chrome bumpers could use re-polishing due to tiny scratches that are visible at very close proximity. It also looks to be in need of minor suspension work, as some rubber bushings are showing signs of dry rot; it does however drive good as it should without any mechanical issues.
On a 1-5 gradient scale (1=Mint), it's condition would be considered to fall between a high 3(Good) and a low 2(Excellent). If priced to reflect current/fair market value for a OEM 65 Lincoln in it's condition, $18,000 would best represent it's worth.
The last couple images posted with the fancy rims are not the actual '65 Coupe offered; although, with a new set of wheels, it would hold very similar appearance assuming style over OEM status was ones preference! Thanks for viewing (:
