As buyers continued to prefer closed bodies during the early 1930s,
many manufacturers saw sales of open body styles, particularly
truly open cars like tourers, cabriolets and roadsters, shrink
dramatically. At the same time, cars had never looked better, and
Ford, rapidly adopted more streamlined, rounded lines.
This Cabriolet is finished with dark red paint; and the exterior is
highlighted with many features, which include a tan convertible
top, rear-mounted trunk rack, dual blue-dot stop lights,
rear-mounted spare tire, mud flaps, driver's spotlight, fog lamps,
dual windshield wipers, dual side view mirrors, "catwalk" drill
guard, greyhound hood ornament and polished "spider" wheel covers.
Moving this Ford down the road is a 221-cid flathead V-8, that is
paired to a manual transmission. The interior has been nicely
restored and is equipped with a banjo steering wheel, white-face
gauges, a brown bench seat and an optional radio.
