The power output is from a 3.8 Liter aluminum, Port fuel injected, Twin Turbo Charged and Intercooled Mid-Mounted Dual overhead cam 32 Valve M838T 90 V8 Engine producing 641 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 500 lb. ft. of torque @ 6000 rpm. Performance is 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds, 100mph in 5.9 and a top speed of 207 mph. A quarter mile is achieved in 10.5 seconds! The 650S is a thrill on the road with a ride quality in anything other than “Track” mode proving very comfortable! McLaren claims that the spider is as stiff in structure as its coupe counterpart, despite the 2-piece power soft top.
