Offered here is an incredible piece of American muscle car
heritage. This fully restored 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS 427
Convertible is one of only 200 ever produced by General Motors. The
combination of the Super Sport, Turbo-Jet 427 Power Plant, and the
Convertible body make this vehicle extremely rare and highly
collectible.
Within the past couple years, a meticulous, no-expense-spared
restoration was completed by All Speed Customs of Muskegon,
Michigan, who are known in the industry for world-class builds
(Google search “All Speed Customs Firebird” for proof). The car was
professionally sprayed in the original Ermine White (code C) with a
new matching white power convertible top over a Red (code 873)
bucket seat interior. The original engine had long been lost so a
freshly rebuilt 1968 Corvette 427ci/435hp V8 took its place, mating
up with the rebuilt original Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission. The
car has had less than 50 miles driven since the restoration.
This Fourth Generation Impala was purchased new from Berger
Chevrolet in 1967, and was only one of three 1967 Super Sports sold
that year. Berger originally added the red striping down the body
and on the hood at the original owner’s request, which was
correctly duplicated in the restoration. Joel Kowalski, a Muskegon
automotive legend, eventually bought the car and started the
restoration process. He passed a few years ago and was our client’s
dear friend. This car was preserved and is being sold in memory of
him.
The SS427 was only available from 1967 to 1969. Noteworthy features
on the car include the SS Package, Bucket Seats, Center Console,
Tachometer, Clock, Gauges, Tilt Steering Wheel, Rally Wheels, Power
Brakes, Power Steering, Power Top, Aluminum Intake Manifold, Chrome
Valve Covers, Dual Exhaust, Tinted Windows, Chrome Wheel Lips,
Glove Box Light, Console Light, Courtesy Lights, Trunk Lights, Red
Stripes, and a 12-Bolt Rear End. This is an incredible car and
there are very few, if any, for sale like it on the market. It
comes with a folder full of records, including documentation of the
restoration. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our
main website. Call or e-mail for more information. Thank you for
looking.
