This car came to me from the San Jose, CA area and is still on a transferable California title. It spent its entire life there, except when it was at Idaho State University with the son.
The body is completely original except for a dent repair to the left front fender. The paint has 60 years of nicks, scrapes, chips and patina. It is thin in spots. But it has such a great and original look! There is no rust! The bottom of the car is completely solid, too.
The interior appears to be original, yet I know otherwise. The seats were just reupholstered with the correct material. Try to find that! The headliner, door panels and dash pad are all in nice condition. The carpet is worn and faded, but certainly serviceable. The rubber floor mats have protected it well.
Seat belts have been added. The wipers don’t sweep. The speedometer is not working. The radio hums and the heater works fine. All gauges and lights are working. The original jack and tire irons are in the trunk. The doors lock via key.
Five new Coker bias ply wide whitewall tires were just installed. They have no more than 20 miles on them. We just replaced the spark plugs and installed a new battery.
These big Buicks are the same C-body as the 98 Olds and the Cadillac 62. Big and broad. Great ride!
The 322 starts instantly and runs great. The Dynaflow propels the car just as you would expect. Power steering and brakes assist to make the driving effort minimal.
The glass is tinted from the factory. There are a couple of cracks in the side glass, but they have been there for years.
The emblems and pot metal show a bit of pitting, but still shine up nicely. The chrome has thinned, but also shines up. The stainless is in very nice condition.
Where can you find a big cruiser like this in such great ORIGINAL condition? You are going to love the ride and the onlookers will love the look. Enjoy!
