This car has been confirmed to be a True SS - L78 4 speed Camaro.
As it left the factory, it was a very rare 396 \ 375HP 4spd car.
The standard 396 was only 325HP. Of the 220,906 Camaro's built in
1967, only 1,138 were lucky enough to get this legendary engine.
That is half of 1%. That is RARE folks!! Now I know the driveline
is missing so we are not trying to make this something it isn't.
But it is ready to drive and enjoy right now while you search for
and pick up the right pieces to put it back to the Ground Pounder
it once was if you feel so inclined. That is what I call a Diamond
in the rough!!!
To the best of our knowledge, this car is a true SS with the RS
trim added to it. It is a pleasure to drive. It pulls strong and
really delivers the seat of the pants acceleration we are all
looking for. It was in a private collection here in Nebraska and
the owners only sold it because they were moving. So this is a
