For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this well maintained
1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition. The Collector's
Edition Corvette was a special vehicle. Up to this point, all C3
Corvettes had what was known as the "sugar scoop" roof. The rear
window was vertical from the back edge of the roof. However, with
the 1982 Collector's Edition Corvette we see the first time that a
Corvette is featured with a functional hatchback rear window. The
Collector's Edition package also included a special Silver Beige
Metallic paint with matching Silver Beige Metallic leather bucket
seats and door trim, Collector's Edition emblems, accent
pinstripes, decals, and aluminum wheels, and exclusive bronze
tinted glass t-tops. The 1982 Collector Edition Corvette saw the
first "Fuelie" in a Corvette in decades. The 350 cubic inch "Cross
Fire" throttle body fuel-injected small block offered 10 more
horsepower than the previous L-48 version. This new Cross Fire was
backed up by the 4 Speed 700R4 automatic transmission. This is a
must have for any Corvette Collector, or a great starting piece for
someone looking to begin a serious Vette collection. The only
modifications made to this vehicle are a nice wood veneer dash trim
on the inside, and some Flowmaster mufflers to beef up the sound
from the burbling V8. To view this vehicle in greater detail
