Vehicle Description
Until the Ford Expedition debuted for model year 1997, Ford did not
have a factory built vehicle to compete with the Chevy Suburban. To
meet demand, Centurion Vehicles, a converter specializing in Ford
Trucks based in White Pigeon, MI, constructed a 4 door version of
the 4th and fifth generation Bronco called the Centurion Classic.
To achieve this, Centurion took two different for trucks; a
F-Series crew cab pick up and a Ford Bronco. The Crew-cab wheel
base was shortened to 140 inches and the Bronco rear quarter
panels, hardtop and tailgate were grafted to the picked up
bodywork. As the rear seat of the Fronco was retained, the
Centurion Classic featured three-row seating for up to nine.
Centurion ceased production in 1996 as the Expedition was a direct
replacement for the Bronco, however, the sear size of the Centurion
Classic was more represented by the Ford Excursion introduced for
model year 2000.
The 1990 Ford Bronco C150 Centurion Classic offered here was
purchased by the second owner, on December 23, 1990 from Vancouver
Ford Daihatsu of Vancouver Washington; the vehicle has just over
14000 miles on it at that time. Since, the vehicle has remained in
the same family and consistently dealer serviced at Vancouver Ford
until our recent acquisition. As a result of responsible ownership,
care, and a vehicle friendly climate, today, this 1990 Bronco C150
4X4 remains in excellent overall condition mechanically and remains
in great condition cosmetically. The car is powered by the optional
5.8 liter V8 engine, Automatic transmission with overdrive and 4
wheel drive. Highlights include: Power steering, power brakes,
power locks, 3rd row seating front bucket seats with console, air
conditioning, signature Centurion vinyl roof, removable rear
section hard top, brush guard, fog lights, factory Ford wheels,
etc. This truck also comes complete with a huge stack of every
maintenance records dating back to December of 1990 proving the
outstanding care this truck received and the sales contract when
the truck was acquired December 1990. The truck remains highly
original in all areas including much of its paint and our test
drive revealed an early full sized SUV that will get the family and
the dog anywhere it needs to go in comfort and style.
This 1990 Ford Bronco C150 Centurion Classic is truly a unique
vehicle. With the vintage 4X4 market on fire right now and the
Centurion Classic is destined for greatness. One of this caliber is
