Vehicle Description
For sale in our Dallas showroom is one of the nicest Toyota FJ40's
we have come across. This 1972 Toyota FJ40 was built to drive and
we can prove it. Built from the ground up, the frame was stripped
all the way down to bare metal and powder coated in gloss black.
The frame mounts were modified for the new heart with a few extra
cylinders. A ZZ4 350 CID V8 was taking over the power duties and is
mated to a military issued Condeisel SM420 4 speed manual
transmission that is attached to a Ranger Gear splitter 27%
overdrive unit. As far as the custom stuff, the engine mounts,
scrape plates, front steering correction kit, and the power
steering plate were all fabricated. The springs and the lift
feature custom made spring mounts and reinforcement gussets for
strength. Rancho springs and power steering box were then bolted in
place. 1.5 inch tall body lift blocks were used to raise the body
of the Cruiser. They were made of 6061 aluminum and powder coated
gloss black. The drive shafts were custom made front and rear. The
front and rear axles were completely rebuilt . New brakes front and
rear were installed with new lines and a later model master
cylinder. The parking brake cable and hardware was replaced and
works well. All of this combination allows the use of 35x12.50x15
Goodyear Silent Armor tires with the tried and true Centerline HT
wheels that measure 15 inches by 10 inches wide. The interior is a
trip with the Recaro heated and cooled power adjustable seats, man
these things are comfy. The jumps seats in the back were redone for
any passenger to ride along this beast with you. To protect the
driver and passenger a custom BTB powder coated roll cage was build
to withstand the toughest terrain. This cage is what the seat belts
are mounted to so strength is not in question at all. BTB had their
hands all over this thing with the custom tilt steering column and
sports a custom leather MOMO leather steering wheel. Even the dash
plate is a BTB piece and holds the factory gauges but also includes
and aviation compass and altimeter, now that's just cool. You may
notice these doors look a bit different, well those were custom
made as well using 1972 FJ Doors that were cut down. But if you
want full doors just remove these and throw on the full soft doors
that are included that match the full top. The bikini top is what
this whole setup is designed for but if you want to switch back you
can. Audio was not ignored and there is a heck of a stereo in here.
There are custom tweeter enclosures built into custom roll cage
that have Polk audio speakers. There is a Kicker Solo Baric
subwoofer in a custom rhino lined box bolted behind the driver
seat. There are also two Pioneer 6X9's housed in Tuffy outdoor
locked speaker cabinets. A couple of exterior things are the BTB
custom rear bumper welded into place with a built in tow
attachment. The front bumper is also BTB powder coated piece and is
mounted to the factory holes. There is a warn winch is a 9000 lb
capacity and is mounted on a BTB powder coated winch mounting
plate. Yes she is pretty but she is ready to get dirty. There are
plenty of features for fun and utility. The features include; AM/FM
Radio/CD player, Heated Seats, Lumbar Support, Power Brakes, Power
Steering, Power Seats, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, and
Aluminum Alloy Wheels. For more HD pictures and video visit
