Auction #341-1940 Oldsmobile Model 60 2-Door Sedan- ONLY 17,850 ACTUAL MILES FROM NEW! Fully documented with original paperwork and transfer papers. Original buyer from August 16,1940 owned it until 1961 when it was sold in the same community of Indiana, and remained in that family until the 2000's. All original except an older correct repaint in the original color of Shirval Green. Original flathead 6-cylinder engine, 3-speed transmission with column-mounted shifter, original upholstery, wide whitewall tires (5), fog lights. Paperwork included in the sale is the original finance contract from 1940 ("How in the world are we going to make those $31.54 payments?"), some annual registration receipts, color chart, repair manual, copies of older titles, etc. Car starts, runs, and drives well. Very unusual. There are plenty of Chevrolet's and Ford's around, but you hardly see an Oldsmobile. Remember when Olds used "This is not your father's Oldsmobile" in their commercials? Well, it's not your father's, It is your grandfather's!!
