For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1954 Chevrolet Pickup truck
nicknamed "Plum sweet" And how sweet it is! When I look this truck
over it makes me think someone won an unlimited shopping spree to
any performance parts company in America. This sweet 1954 Chevy
3100 for sale has it all! Where do you start to explain this master
piece of mechanical work? OK you asked for it, let start under the
hood. Bolted between the frame rails of this 54 3100 for sale is a
massaged Chevy small block that measures 355 CID. Bolted on top of
this mighty mouse is 671 BDS blower, that's right, let the forced
induction be with you. This BDS sucks air through two 750 CFM weber
carbs and then packs this explosive combo into the cylinders and
when the plugs spark, well, hang on tight because this ride has
just started! Backing this Power plant is a GM turbo 350 three
speed automatic transmission that snaps through the gears faster
than you could in a manual and trust me, you feel every shift.
Sitting in front of the turbo 350 is a stall converter rated at
2,200 RPM. So wind up the blower, bring the revs up to 2,000 and
then stand on the throttle, if you dare. To finish out the drive
line, to hold up the back end and divide the power to the huge rear
tires is what else but a 9 inch ford that is filled with a 4.10
gear set. This drive line is more than enough to boil the 29 x
18.00R20LT rear tires that have 15 inches of tread! I guess now
would be a good time to tell you about the rims, they are Boyd
Coddington Crown Jewels 20x15's for the rear and 18x 7s in the
front. I only have so much room so I better start telling you the
rest! Ceramic coated headers, Fatman upper and lower control arms,
Camaro front clip, air ride suspension, disc brakes, Chris Alston
ladderbars, the bed is varnished wood with stainless strips. Ok now
the interior, start with leather seats, and add power windows,
pioneer stereo, ididit steering column, and wabbit dash with
classic instrument gauges. On the outside, you might notice a
slight chop as 3 inches have been removed and then comes the sweet
part, Deep plum on the bottom with ghost flames and satin silver on
top. I am almost out of breath, but two more things. The hood has
been cut open to allow the rest of us to view the under hood
monster and while seated in the driver's seat you will notice a T
and an M as this truck was used in a country music video with Mr.
Tim McGraw and he signed the dash afterwards. This 3100 for sale
lives up to its name "Plum Sweet". If I had room I would tell you
the rest. Call us for more information at the Nashville showroom
