There are always a select few cars that have a great history in the
automobile world and in Hollywood. Steve McQueen and the Mustang,
James Dean and the Speedster and Clint Eastwood with the Grand
Torino. These stories build a brand and build a following unlike
any brochure, billboard or commercial could ever do for the
manufacturers. In 2008 Clint Eastwood directed a movie that was a
huge success by most standards and featured his special Grand
Torino. The Grand Torino was a great car for the person that
desired a step up from the base Fairlane or just wanted to take
advantage of the roomier cabin and nicer touches from the
factory.
Happy to bring to the market this well-kept and quite stunning '69
Gran Tornio GT with the big 351 V8. This car was optioned nicely
and retains the original build sheet along with a large file of
receipts and documentation from the previous owners. The car was
sold new on November 14th and was delivered to a gentleman out of
Fairview OH and then sold to the 2nd owner in Chesterland OH before
resting in Nebraska for a short stint. The car carries the AM
radio, factory bench seat setup, turn signal indicators on the
hood, power steering, and GT appearance package. The second owner
added some Sunpro accessory gauges that give you temperature,
voltage and oil pressure readings.
As mentioned this car has a huge file of receipts from previous
owners, original build sheets, and a clean look that will allow the
next owner to put their own flare on this affordable muscle car
from the '69 era. Lights, horn, turn signals, blower fan and stereo
all work and this car likes to run! The vehicle is currently setup
with a 4bbl setup up but the original 2bbl parts are available.
