Vehicle Description
Outstanding 328GTS finished in classic Rossa Corsa over Tan!
Superb service history, all tools, books, and keys included! Only
38,800 miles on the odometer and fresh from a timing belt service
completed just 700 miles ago! Very original and complete making
this a solid investment worthy example! Take a close look at this
one! Replacing the 308GTB and GTS model in 1986, the newly revised
Ferrari 328 quickly became the series collectors seek out today.
Each distinguished individually as the Grand Touring Berlinetta
(Coupe) and Grand Touring Spider (Targa). With refined body lines,
color-keyed bumpers, fully updated interiors, and larger
displacement engine, it truly became the driver's Ferrari. Known
for their reliability, and the absence of engine-out belt
servicing, owners (then and now) also find the maintenance costs
more palatable. Over the four year production, only 6,068 GTS
examples would find their way to showrooms around the world making
this quite limited by comparison to both the 308 models, and larger
Testarossa, each having totals closer to 14,000 units. A well
sorted Ferrari 328 is certainly one of the most entertaining,
classic Ferrari's to navigate around town or countryside, with very
impressive performance stats for its era. Producing 0-60 times in
the 5.5 second range, and top speeds recorded upwards of 165mph.
Not too shabby at all, especially combined with body contours that
still look absolutely fantastic 30 years later! Offered here is a
gorgeous 1987 Ferrari 328GTS finished in factory original Rossa
Corsa over Beige leather interior. Powered by number's matching
3.2L 32-valve V8 SOHC featuring Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection
with Magneti Marelli electronic engine management system, it
produces 270 horsepower. A fully synchromesh, gate-shifted 5-speed
manual transmission propels this example though the gears.
Features include power windows, power locks, air conditioning, fog
lamps, removable targa roof, intermittent wipers, and CD audio
system. Our example comes with a wonderfully clean history,
flawless CarFax, and service records dating back the past 16 years.
The original body paint is in excellent condition and shows only
light signs of use conducive to the mileage reading of 38,852.
There are absolutely no signs of paintwork or overspray anywhere on
the car, and the interior carpets and seat leathers appear
completely original as well. A true testament to respectful
ownership its entire life! Included with the car will be two sets
or keys, original owner's manual, original stamped service manual,
factory Ferrari tool set, all tire changing equipment, and targa
storage bag. Also included are service & ownership records back to
2001 organized in a binder. Based on these records provided,
exceptional care was taken to ensure this Ferrari had the best
upkeep possible. It sold new from Sports Car Exchange Inc based in
Dearborn, MI on December 23rd, 1986for Jane Young of Grosse Pointe
Shores, MIas a Christmas gift. Servicing continued through
Sports Car Exchange before moving to Continental Motors of
Hinsdale, IL from 1987-1996. It has had consistent timing belts &
tensioner replacements in 1996, 2007, 2011, and most recently in
July 2016 at 38,141 miles. This summer 2016 service also included
all new fuel injectors, new Sanden air conditioning conversion
upgrade, and fresh engine fluids & filter. Other notable services
include a rebuild water pump with new thermostat at 35,020 miles,
new tires & front brake pads at 34,765 miles, and full 30K major
interval service at 30,005 miles. Everything on the car is full
working order, and it drives simply superb! It is performing at
the peak of its intended design, and we invite all serious buyers
to schedule an immediate appointment to review it in person. It
is a real collector grade example for the astute Ferrari investor
and enthusiast. We look forward to working with you!
