This 1939 Chrysler Royal Coupe is available for sale at our
Louisville KY showroom. The Royal was Chryslers entry level,
customer winning, 6 cylinder produced from 1937 to 1942 and after
the war from 46 to 50. The Royal was the answer to their limited
market as the AIRFLOW design was great but expensive and unreliable
at best. The Royal would replace the six and the public absolutely
loved it. Not only is this a very original example but being a
split window coupe, production numbers were limited to only 1000
units. A 3-owner car with less than 50000 miles this is an
extremely clean well maintained car. Sold originally by Hethinger
Brothers Chrysler to a man in PA who kept it until 87 when it was
sold to the second owner who kept it until 2014.The classic lines
are as they should be with the fitment of the panels being as good
as original. The front fenders have the headlights frenched in
giving the car an art deco look. The paint though not original is
period correct and was done some time ago but still looks extremely
nice. The bright work on the car is in excellent condition and
gives the car a very rich feel. Of course, these cars were known
for their 100 HP Gold Seal straight 6 engines and this one, just
like the rest of the car, is original to the car. The interior is
original to the car and appears to have been in an unbelievable
state given the car is almost 80 years old. The huge steering wheel
reminds you of just mechanical these cars really were. With the
3-speed shifter mounted on the floor the owner drove this
ultra-rare classic down the highway to bring it to us. A slick rare
classic that you can get out and enjoy while taking to that car
show a city away. Options on this 1939 Chrysler Royal Coupe
include; Bias Ply Tires, Cloth Interior, and Hub Caps. For more
