The Model: Ferrari engaged Pininfarina design legend, Leonardo
Fioravanti, to pen what has become one of Ferrari's most iconic
shapes as a replacement for the popular 246 Dino. Fioravanti
surprised the world with his curvaceous design that contrasted
sharply with the angular 308 2+3. The gorgeous design was an
instant hit at the 1975 Paris Motor Show. While the design
impressed, performance was lackluster. The complex four-cam
90-degree V-8 provided the power and impressive growl, but lost
much to emissions restrictions. Ferrari responded with the new
Quattrovalvole V-8 which raised output to 230 bhp and could power
the GTS to 152 mph. V-8 Ferraris were long-disdained by collectors
in favor of V-12 cars. Today, the 308 GTS QV is now seen by
collectors as one of Ferrari's greats.
The Car: This 308 GTS is presented in brilliant top quality
condition. The car is correct in every respect and includes all
books and tools. This car is represented as a truly pampered
Ferrari and this GTS is ready to go for the next owner. Don't miss
this outstanding opportunity to acquire a superior example of
Maranello's most iconic 1980s V-8 as the market continues to grow.
