The Bricklin is a gull wing sports car developed
by Malcom Bricklin in the mid 1970’s. They were manufactured in
Canada and produced from late 1974 through early 1976. They were a
fiber glass car with a color impregnated acrylic coating. This car
has the original white acrylic finish. It has the original 351W
engine with the Ford automatic transmission and has 19,000 original
miles. I have owned it since 2011 and during that time the engine
bay was cleaned and painted, new seals were put in the engine and
transmission, the engine was painted and the original two barrel
carburetor and intake was replaced with an Edelbrock intake and
four barrel carburetor. The radiator was replaced with an upgraded
four core aluminum radiator. The AC was converted to 134 Freon and
now uses a modern Sanden compressor. A custom exhaust system was
added. The doors are pneumatic and the air system components have
been upgraded. The doors open with a remote key fob or the original
activating switches. The interior has new carpeting, insulation and
floor mats, a custom center console and custom wood dash panels. It
has the original style wheels and good tread remaining on the
tires. A new rear hatch window seal was installed. It drives and
shows well and gets its share of attention.
