If you think this is just another Trans Am
THINK AGAIN!
OLD FORGE Motorcars is proud to offer this amazing magazine feature
Trans Am. Purchased new the owner was disappointed in the Pontiac's
performance and driving dynamics compared to his Ferrari Boxer 512,
so he built his Trans Am to be comparable to his Ferrari. Copies of
the magazine article comparing his 2 cars from Sports Cars of the
World are available. We will not respond to email requests.
The owner started by replacing the anemic factory installed Chevy
305 with a Danny Jesel built 355 with a roller tappet cam and
aluminum heads. Dynoed a 502hp @ 7000 rpm, the recommended redline
is 8500 rpm! 0-60 time 3.5 seconds quarter mile 11.80

mph.
The car was sent to Ed Moran for a complete suspension rebuild
using Herb Adams VSE suspension as the base - the result is a Trans
Am that rides similar to a factory produced car but one that
handles and corners much better. The build took in excess of 1000
hours, the result is amazing.
Our multi-point inspection gives this beast a thumbs up except for
the aftermarket 220 mph odometer/speedometer which is not working
correctly.
Rest assured this Trans Am is second to none in performance and
driving dynamics - you will love it!
