1942 Harley-Davidson WLA Army Issue Motorcycle in Volo, Illinois
The WLA was Harley-Davidson's US Army issue motorcycle. Used for
police and escort, courier duties and some scouting. Nicknamed
"Liberator" since it was ridden by soldiers liberating occupied
Europe. Engine is a side value design 2 cylinder 740 cm Flathead
compression 5:1 capable of running on 74 octane gasoline. All
original present owner bought 30 years ago. This bike is the real
deal. Blackout light and saddle bags. Excellent condition with 7114
miles, runs and drives good with recent new correct battery. New
points, rebuilt carb and professional tune up - a super bike.
