For sale in our Chicago showroom is a classic 1968 Ford Mustang. If
you love old cars you will know the Mustang story and it is quite a
charming one. By the early 1960's there was quite a bit of
competition amongst brands and the need for a "Pony" car was
becoming a reality pretty quickly. After concepts were received
well the Mustang was launched on April 17, 1964 and dubbed the 1964
1/2 amongst Mustang followers. The little cars with a choice of a 6
cylinder or V8 engine took off and became an instant success to
compete with vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Plymouth Barracuda
and Pontiac Firebird. By 1968 the Mustang had received a minor
facelift but still featured that domineering front end, side scoop
and classic tri-lens taillights that made this one of the most
iconic American cars ever. The option of engines as well as some
creature comforts made this a versatile vehicle that could be made
as a performer or just a comfortable personal car. This example
features the classic 302 Cubic Inch V8 that delivered plenty of
power while still providing a smooth and comfortable drive. The
automatic transmission shifts very nice and makes driving this
classic very fun and easy. The exterior of this car features a dark
blue metallic paint highlighted by a white stripe and features
contrasting black interior which features woodgrain accents,
digital AM/FM Stereo and classic bucket seats. The exterior paint,
chrome and brightwork look fantastic and shine very nice as do the
Magnum 500 wheels that are covered with 205 70R 14 tires. This car
has had a great deal of care and maintenance over the years to
preserve it's good looks and reliability. If you have been looking
for a reliable cruiser that will provide years of loving service
this one deserves a second glance. Located in our Chicago showroom,
