For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a creampuff 1957 Ford
Thunderbird. When discussing this car, two things stand out
immediately. First is the name Bob Pittman. Hailing from Nashville,
TN, Mr. Pittman is renowned for his restorations of the Baby Birds,
and this Porsche Red is an outstanding example of his handy work.
Piggybacking on that name is every car fan's favorite two words:
rotisserie restoration. Add the two together, and you find yourself
at this marvelous machine you see before you. Before this build was
begun, a car with very specific options was selected from
California. This car was factory equipped with the 312 CID V8
making 245hp, the 3 speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission,
power windows, power seat, power steering, power brakes, and the
AM/FM radio. But of course, finding the right car is only half the
battle. Reading this build list, there is one word that makes a
very frequent appearance: new. Nearly every part you can think of
is new or rebuilt as such. Yes, even that part. If requested, a
list of these parts can be provided. As mentioned earlier, this is
not an original Ford color. Instead, the decision was made to paint
this car in a shade of red used by Porsche. Additionally, a custom
taupe leather interior was chosen to set this T-Bird apart from the
crowd. This is a decision some may question, until they see the car
in person and realize what a massive difference this little change
can make in the car's presence. With the top off this Thunderbird
will take your breath away. As said before, there is simply too
much to list on a car this well built. A comprehensive list of the
restoration, as well as progress pictures can be made available
upon request. To receive this information, and to view this vehicle
