For sale in our Chicago showroom is a very original 1940 Ford
Deluxe convertible. The design of this ford began in 1939 and ran
just until 1940. This car became so loved by car enthusiasts that
many were converted into hot rods but not this one. The convertible
model is the most coveted amongst collectors and after driving this
classic with the top down you will understand why. This Ford was
well equipped for its time and featured a power convertible top
that is controlled by vacuum - not bad for a car that is 76 years
old. This car also had a radio, wind up clock and the scarce
dual-trumpet horn that sounds fantastic. Under the hood you will
find the original Ford Flathead V8 that starts up immediately and
is very quiet and smooth just like they were known for. After being
purchased in the early 1970's by the original owner this car was
stored in a climate controlled facility. In order to make sure this
car is roadworthy the car was given a fresh tune up, new brake
shoes, wheel cylinders, carburetor overhaul and all fluids changed.
Nice original cars are becoming increasingly hard to come by and
this car has been preserved in the original state and has had only
1 repaint in 76 years. If you have been looking for that classic
convertible that is reliable and easy to maintain now is your
chance. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe
convertible can be seen including an HD video and pictures at
