For Sale in our Chicago showroom is a clean 1956 Ford Mainline.
This 2-Door Post is solid example of an original Ford that lived in
California, and has had some modern aesthetics added to create a
true head-turner. This tidy little Ford began its life as an
entry-level 2-door with the added comfort of the Ford-O-Matic
2-speed automatic transmission and 292 Cubic Inch V8 Engine. At a
cost of just under $1,800 new this Ford has been updated with an
Edelbrock 4bbl Carburetor, chrome alternator and Reds exhaust
headers. New parts include a fuel pump, starter, transmission
mounts, spring shackles, fuel tank sending unit, rebuilt
speedometer with Autometer oil pressure and temperature gauges.
Having a V8 in a new Ford in the mid-50's was something to be proud
of so Ford generously displayed the V8 logo along the side of each
front fender to let you know that this car means business! Just
picture yourself gripping that huge black steering wheel and
getting this classic on the open road. Special attention to detail
from on this '56 include the red coves, Torque Thrust Wheels and
Nitto Extreme ZR Tires. There is some additional celebrity clout
with this car as it was featured in the Spike TV special "Brett
Meisner's 24 hours in hell with Jim Morrison." Options on this 50s
classic include Ford-O-Matic Automatic Transmission, 292 Cubic Inch
Y-Block V8 Engine, color-coded front and rear seat belts, Original
AM Radio with Panasonic CD Stereo under dash, rear deck speakers
and vertical-tufted vinyl bench seat. Located in our Chicago
Showroom, this 1956 Ford Mainline can be seen including an HD video
