Vehicle Description
Our Detroit Showroom is very proud to offer this luxurious 1928
Lincoln L Series Sedan. The L Series was the first vehicle produced
by the Lincoln Motor Company introduced in 1917 and would continue
through the 1930 model year. The L Series was assembled in Detroit
Michigan and went through several design changes during its
existence, in 1924 it was given a new look with things such as a
nickel plated radiator shell, 1925 was the absence of cowl lights
and front and rear bumpers became standard, in 1927 the L Series
got smaller wheels and 4 wheel mechanical brakes became standard,
1928 brought a new larger and more powerful 384 cubic inch V8
engine putting out 90 horse power and mated to a 3 speed manual
transmission. The Lincoln L Series was designed with luxury in mind
which you will notice upon first glance of this 1928 model from the
two tone paint with the large full fenders and molded running
boards to the chrome accents and large headlights and the original
painted steel wire wheels this car has a very classy exterior
styling that still remains in beautiful condition having all of the
plating and paint work redone just a few years back. While the
exterior styling has a very classy look, it's when you look to the
interior of this Lincoln that you realize that the L Series was
designed as a true luxury top end model. The cloth seats are
extremely comfortable and have amazing detail sewn into the
upholstery, the very spacious rear seat area with fold down foot
rest and additional hide- away jump seats makes it evident that it
was designed with the comfort of the passenger in mind. All of the
upholstery in this Lincoln has been redone as well which has been
restored to original condition looking as if this L series came
right off of the showroom floor. Mechanically this car is in
excellent condition and is surprising how well this vehicle drives
and handles for a large vehicle from the 20's, this Lincoln is not
just a museum fixture or trailered showcar but is a great driver
that is ready to be used as a weekend cruiser or to visit the local
car shows driving in style. To view this great 1928 Lincoln L
