Vehicle Description
For sale in our Detroit showroom is this very rare 1967 Jaguar 420
Sedan. The 420 was produced by Jaguar for only 2 model years of
1966 and 1967 and marketed as the ultimate expression of a series
of compact sporting saloon vehicles. The exterior styling of the
420 was taken from the Jaguar S type and was only slightly altered
in the front with changes to the light placement and the design of
the grilles. Several mechanical upgrades were made to improve the
performance and handling of the 420 over the S type such as an
improved Model 8 transmission, a more efficient radiator, a dual
line hydraulic braking system, larger dual carburetors, a pre
engaged starter, and an alternator rather than the dynamo from the
S type. This particular Jaguar spent most of its life in southern
California and the fair weather there helped maintain this cars
excellent condition throughout. This Jaguar is beautiful inside and
out and has had many upgrades making this car ready to be used as a
daily driver if you wish. The fuel system has been completely
re-done, the cooling system has been completely rebuilt, the
carburetors have been completely rebuilt as well including an all
new brake system has been installed, and a new exhaust system
finishing off the list of items that have this Jaguar ready to
drive just as it sits for many years to come. This Jaguar looks
stunning with the classic two-tone beige and light brown paint and
the original chrome wire wheels, and as you look into the interior
it is very classy with light beige cloth interior and a pristine
dash panel with just the right mix of wood grain and black leather.
This 1967 Jaguar is a pleasure to drive with amazing handling and
performance upgrades that will last into the next decade and
beyond. To view this great 1967 Jaguar 420 in greater detail
