Up for sale in our Louisville showroom is a vintage 1972 Chevrolet
C-10. The C/K was Chevrolet and GMC's full size, pickup truck line
from 1960 until 1999 in the United States, from 1965 to 1999; "C"
indicated two wheel drive and "K" indicated four wheel drive. This
classic American work truck has been very nicely restored with a
great attention to detail. The power plant for this 1972 Chevrolet
C10 is a very strong 454 V8 Big Block Chevy with brand new Holley
750 cfm carburetor. Increasing the overall performance of the 454
V8 is an Edelbrock intake and a set of Sanderson ceramic coated
headers. A March serpentine pulley kit keeps all the accessories
lined on one belt for cleaner look. One serpentine also reduces the
amount of drag on the engine so you get a little extra p horse
power as well. Dual electric fans have been added to cool down the
aluminum radiator, and it reduces parasitic drag on the big V8. The
behemoth of a 454 CID V8 is linked to a smooth shifting turbo 700R4
four speed automatic transmission. The beautiful blue paint job
perfectly complements the matching interior. 1967 was the first
year for these second generation C/K pickups offered by General
Motors and the focus was to add comfort and convenience items to a
vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone.
Updated styling features for the Second Generation Chevy Pickup
trucks came with new body sheet metal that helps fight rust and a
pickup box made of double-walled steel. The majority of 10 and 20
series Chevrolet trucks from 1967 to 1972 were built with a coil
spring trailing arm rear suspension, which greatly improved the
ride over traditional leaf springs. Adding to already good looks of
the exterior is a steel cowl hood, it not only gives great eye
appeal, but allows fresh air in to make sure that big 454 breathes
easily. The rear tail gate is new and it smooth versus the embossed
Chevrolet Logo typically seen. Halogen headlights have been added
in the front with LED tail lights, not only does it improve the
looks, but increases the safety for this awesome truck. Speaking of
safety, power disc brakes have been added to insure this truck can
stop as fast as it can get up and go! Finishing off the overall
look is a set of Boss Wheels, 20's in the front with 22's out back
wrapped in Hankook radial tires. The classic American pickup is
nicely restored and ready for the road and can be yours with one
