created, the 1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix D-500. Dodge debuted the Dart
in 1960 as their entry level vehicle, and it was offered in three
trim levels: the basic Seneca, mid-range Pioneer, and the premium
Phoenix shown here. The Dart Phoenixes were a special order package
built at the Dodge assembly line in Detroit, MI, March 16 1960.
Dodge set a world record in its class at Bonneville with the 1960
Phoenix D-500. This one has been restored to highest standards and
taken back to factory specs. Of the total 1,574 383 CID ram
inducted cars produced, only 562 were Phoenix 2 door hardtops. This
rare 1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix D500 for sale has a unique optional
cantilever red sweep paint scheme, highlighting the roof line in
cloud white. The dual transistor radio works and the twin rear

Powerflite transmission, this one was equipped with a "3 on the
tree" type manual transmission. Such an awesome exterior requires
one awesome interior. A new seat design was implemented for the '60
Phoenix for sale, with the driver's side of the front seat higher
than the rest of the seat back. It was Mopar's design to provide
added support. The translucent speedometer extends above the
dashboard just below the line of vision so it could be read easily.
To prevent nighttime reflections on the windshield, a canopy arched
over the speedometer face and with the interior color matched to
