This 1984 Porsche 930 Turbo is for sale in our Louisville KY
showroom. The 930 was a production vehicle manufactured by Porsche
between1975 and 1989. Known to many as simply the 911 Turbo the
930's are considered by many to be the first production turbo
sports car. The 930 would prove to be an extremely fast car but
still prone to Porsche's Achilles' heel, overseer. With its rear
engine and short wheel base it is something these cars will always
be susceptible to. On the other side of the coin this is also what
makes Porsche a Porsche? Actually adding the turbo to the equation
brought Porsche several wrongful death lawsuits suspending
importation from 81-85. An original German car that was later
imported into the states this beauty has all the makings to be one
of the most collectible Porsche's around. This 930 is a complete
original car with the only thing being changed is the stainless
steel mufflers and blow off. The original 3.3 single turbo motor
which has been regularly maintained is very clean with no signs of
any mechanical issues. The original Bosch KE- Jetronic FI still
sends the fuel which was really what gave the 84's that added
power. The 4 speed gear box feels nice with the shift pattern tight
and crisp. The clutch, which has been race inspired, definitely has
a great feel. The black interior is in great condition with the
bucket seats showing no signs of wear this 930 looks just as nice
inside as the outside. The sunroof is a great option with the push
of a button you will have the wind through your air and the sun
filling the cockpit. It really does make driving this beauty that
much more enjoyable. With the popularity of true European cars on
the rise this gem would make a great starter for a collection or
the cherry on top of the one you already have. I personally would
drive it and enjoy it every day I owned it as the next owner will
