Vehicle Description
1973 Plymouth Road Runner for sale in our Indianapolis Showroom.
This '73 Road Runner is powered by a 440 CID V8 engine backed by a
727 3-speed manual transmission running to a posi-traction rear end
with 3.55:1 gears. Options on this 1973 Plymouth Road Runner for
sale include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Steering, Power
Brakes, Vinyl Interior and BF Goodrich T/A Radial Tires wrapped
around Rally Wheels. Originally and "H" code high performance 340
cubic in V8 car, this classic now has a professionally built 440
six-pack. The Road Runner is offered for sale with 2000 miles on it
since the frame off restoration in Dec. of 2001. The 440 is bored
.030 over with TRW pistons running at a 10.5:1 compression ratio.
The build on the engine is impressive and comes with over $28,000
in receipts for parts alone! The Mopar has a full roller timing
chain, steel crank, Indy 906 heads, Crane adjustable rockers and
push rods, Mopar Purple cam shaft, Mopar electronic ignition, TCI
torque converter and a Randy's third member. You will also find ARP
main, rod and head bolts along with Mopar Performance oil pump,
rocker shafts and cam bearings. The iconic muscle car looks as good
as it sounds in yellow with black bucket seats and center console
with a "slap stik" shifter. In 1968 Plymouth wanted to develop a
14-second quarter mile car for under $3000. The Road Runner was
introduced and it quickly outsold the upscale GTX. The Plymouth
Road Runner is now one of the most well know and collectible muscle
cars of the era. This 1973 Plymouth Road Runner is built and
restored to the highest levels with receipts to back it up. This is
a show quality classic that is reliable enough to be a daily
driver. This 1973 Plymouth Road Runner for sale is located in our
Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen at
