Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to bring you this stunning
1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. professionally restored just
under 3 years ago, this car is in excellent condition inside and
out. The restoration started with a low mileage original car and
some engine upgrades were performed along the way to bring a bit
more pep in its step. All original parts that were replaced can go
along with the vehicle. It had a new intake manifold, 4 barrel
carburetor, heads, and electronic ignition for easier starts.
Options include A/C, AM/FM/Cassette player, power convertible top,
power brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, seat belts,
leather interior, white walls, and radial tires. The 390 CID V8 is
rated at 300 horespower which as stated earlier, has been brought
up a bit with some bolt on performance parts. The trim tag codes
break down as follows: Body = 76A - 2 door convertible, Color = J -
Rangoon Red, Trim = 20 - White, Date = 02B - February 2nd, DSO = 61
- Dallas, Axle = 1 - 3.00:1, Trans = 4 - 3 Speed Automatic. So, as
you can see this T-Bird has been left in its original color
combination which fits this car very well. The convertibles were by
far the rarest of the Thunderbirds in 1965 with 6,846 convertibles
made vs. Almost 70,000 hardtop variants. These cars have been
featured in many films and TV shows like Thelma and Louise, Wild at
Heart, The Outsiders, and Highlander: The Series. These cars are
powerful, comfortable, luxurious and very cool! These are some of
the coolest interiors ever put in a vehicle, in my opinion. To see
