Up for sale in our Tampa Showroom is this absolutly stunning 1969
AMC AMX. This big bad AMCX is powered by its numbers matching 390
CID V8 engine and 4 speed manual transmission! With 315 horsepower
and 425 lb. Ft of torque, these cars took no prisoners! Only 3,620
came with the 390 and 4 speed manual in 1969 making this a rare
muscle car right from the factory. The "Go Package" said just what
it meant as these cars were built to flat GO! The little AMX was
only produced from 1968 to 1970 and production was limited. There
was virtually no competition in the two seater muscle car sector
where the AMX thrived. From Wikipedia "The AMX name originates from
the "AmericanMotors eXperimental" code used on a concept vehicle
and then on two prototypes shown on the company's "Project IV"
automobile show tour in 1966.[9]One was a fiberglass two-seat
"AMX", and the other was a four-seat "AMX II". Both of these
radically styled offerings reflected the company's strategy to shed
its "economy car" image and appeal to a more youthful,
performance-oriented market." This particular example comes with a
list of names of all previous owners, which is very cool to have.
In 2016 this AMX received new brake rotors and brake pads, and a
new clutch to freshen it up. This is a rare Castillian Gray paint
with red stripes and matching red interior that stands apart from
the bold colors these cars are typically seen in. The entire car is
restored to as close to stock as possible with AMC replacement
parts. Options include the Go Package, AM/FM radio, power brakes,
power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, rally wheels, and
radial tires. Located in our Tampa showroom, this 69 AMX can be
